Trolli was looking for a highly stylized, gaming-inspired look for a campaign promoting their collaboration with Elgato streaming hardware. I was responsible for modeling most of the environment and creating the majority of the shaders for the scene, including all the little sugar worms.
All about the process
Had a lot of explorations on this one until we find the tone and style the client wanted. The landscapes are all done with procedural shaders, noises mixed together and based on the height of the geometry so we could have tileable textures with enough resolution.
The trees were hand-crafted on SpeedTree and made painterly textures on Substance Painter afterwards.
