CS 500

In this personal project, I challenged myself to push the boundaries of a simple 3D camera model by placing it within the context of an established global brand: Xiaomi. My goal was to move beyond the technical 3D execution and treat this as a holistic design exercise—a deep dive into color theory, typography, and brand consistency. I developed a cohesive visual system to explore the product’s life cycle in the real world, from high-impact social media assets to a functional landing page, all unified by a strategic framework and a premium aesthetic mood.

3D Renders

The 3D renders served as the foundation for this entire journey. What began as a simple exercise in creating styleframes quickly evolved into a deeper exploration of brand identity. I found myself in a creative flow, weighing strategic design decisions—such as the bold impact of a monochromatic orange aesthetic versus the sophisticated, "sober" white typical of Xiaomi’s minimalist branding. By experimenting with both directions, I was able to develop a versatile visual language that I later translated across multiple mediums.

Social Media

I recognized early on that social media motion graphics would be the heartbeat of this project. In modern product marketing, motion is essential for building brand awareness. My strategy was to move beyond a static "technical" product by creating a flagship feature video and a series of dynamic animated posts. The goal was to take a straightforward hardware model and transform it into a compelling visual narrative that captures attention and highlights its smartest features.

UI and UX

I began by analyzing Xiaomi’s existing web presence to understand their current design standards for the smart camera category. This benchmarking phase made it clear that to truly showcase my new visual direction, I needed to overhaul the landing page experience. My goal was to create a digital interface that didn't just display the product, but fully embraced the modernized design language and sophisticated "mood" I developed for this project.
